Prehistoric Relatives Part 2

Description

Rampardos, and their young, Cranidos, lived in the wild several tens of millions of years ago before becoming almost fully extinct, their last remaining members eventually took to forests and became the creature scientists now refer to as Sceptile.

Rampardos were very large omnivores with unique physiologies that allowed them to have incredible head butting abilities. They could straighten their spines in a horizontal pose and ram into predators, competition Rampardos and just about anything else with enough force to shatter boulders. Their bodies were covered in thick, rock like scales that helped shape them into incredible challenges for predators to defeat.

Sceptile are fully grown members of the species that genetically evolved from cranidos. Due to their lack of a beak sceptiles were originally thought to be relatives of snakelike Pokemon such as Arbok and Serperior, however, extensive scientific analysis strongly suggests that they evolved from Rampardos due to their similar body structures and bine data. They have strong symbiotic bonds to plants that take root on their flesh, such as the leaves on their backs which are hard, rigid, and durable like scutes that absorb sunlight to provide extra energy, and long thin thagomizer-like pine needles which provide defense against predators and help regulate body temperatures.

Too tired to feign scientific knowledge. Bleh.
